Overall Review: The drive came undamaged and well packaged. But seeing how small file transfers are the Achilles heel of all mechanical hard drives I cant dock an egg, for something that all NON-SSD drives suffer from. You will notice the transfer speed drops. But like all mechanical drives once you start to copy ALOT of VERY SMALL files. If you are moving large Files (movies, zips, large games) you will get about 100-131 Megs/sec would is good for a portable hard drive. Like all Mechanical Hard drives this one suffers from the same limitations.

A full Size USB would be way way more reliable and provide a better longer lasting secure connection to the rear of the BackUp Plus.Ģ. I've used similar cables from corsair and they end up not lasting. A normal full size USB would be way way more preferable to the Micro USB/combo cable. The end that connects into back of the unit is a design I cant stand. HOW TO BACKUP USING SEAGATE BACKUP PLUS SLIM SERIAL
A Seagate HDD? No thanks, I still remember how they asked me for over $1000 in order to recover data from a 7200.14 2TB Barracuda that literally did nothing but sit in a case - all less than a year into warranty (they also asked me for the serial in order to invalidate the warranty with me on the damn phone - I can't believe it to this day I've been through this nightmare with Shitgate!). 18637390 said:DaglesJ and Thudervore have just read my thoughts.
